The Image Flow partners with the Mill Valley Arts Commission to organize its annual Click Off competition October 26 – November 9, 2016.
Each fall, photographers of all ages and ability levels share their unique impressions of Marin County through photography through the Mill Valley Arts Commission’s annual Click Off competition. The subject categories are designed to highlight the area’s unique characteristics and encourage every photographer to share their own perspective through the camera lens or cell phone camera.
Categories will be randomly chosen by or assigned to participants at the “Click Off -Kick Off ” to be held at the Mill Valley Community Center on Wednesday, October 26 at 6:30PM. You do not need to attend this event to participate in the contest, just submit your registration form and entry fee online no later than Wednesday, October 26 at 6:30PM if you cannot attend. Your category will be provided to you the following day.
Every participant will get a 15-minute private editing session with a professional photographer at The Image Flow between October 26 and November 9. During this session, you’ll receive guidance on selecting and enhancing your best image for judging. You can sign up for your editing session at the Kick-Off event, or call The Image Flow at 415-388-3569 to make an appointment.
Whether you choose to attend an editing session or edit on your own, all photographs must be submitted to the Click Off website no later than midnight on November 9.
“It was a fun competition! Stuart helped me pick my strongest image and then he showed me some tricks in photoshop to make it even better. I’m definitely signing up again this year!” said Maya Rabow, 2013 winner in the Youth category.
Registration fee: $25 for adults; $15 for Seniors (62 and over) and Youth (15 and under).
Prizes will be awarded for the top three places and honorable mention in each category, as well as overall prizes for Best Youth Photograph (15 & under) and Best in Show, The winning photographs will be honored at an Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, December 6, and displayed at the Mill Valley Community Center during the month of December.
