There are only a few spaces left in each of The Image Flow’s two February workshops in Cuba—don’t delay, reserve your spot today for this experience of a lifetime!

Building on the popularity and success of our first workshop in Cuba last winter, in February 2016, The Image Flow will host not one, but two Cuba photography workshops designed to give you an inside look at the most iconic aspects of Cuba, from a Cuban perspective. Space is limited to only eight lucky participants in each workshop, and both workshops are filling up fast.

The Image Flow owner and founder Stuart Schwartz along with photographer and adventurer Jock McDonald, who has made some 50 trips to Cuba in the past 25 years, will lead A Cuban Vision of Cuba February 1 – 7, and The Havana Highway: Rum, Cars & Cigars February 10 – 16.

Cuba is changing overnight, so while the subjects of this year’s Cuban Vision will be similar to our inaugural workshop—photographing fisherman at dawn, going backstage during a rehearsal of the Cuban National Ballet, photographing young boxers in training—no two workshops could ever be the same.

Havana Highway is a new addition, and will focus on the most iconic aspects of Cuban culture—rum, cars, and the cigar industry. Experiences will include (but will not be limited to!) a private visit to the Havana-Club Rum Museum, a rum tasting and authentic Cuban meal prepared in a private home, a visit to a tobacco farm near Pinar del Río, and shooting exquisitely preserved classic cars and models.

This year’s workshops each offer unique and complimentary experiences, but what they have in common is an incredible 2:1 student to teacher ratio. Stuart and Jock will be joined by two renowned Cuban photographers who will offer their knowledge and expertise of both Cuba and the photographic process. As a group these four talented instructors will demonstrate ways to approach and illuminate the human portrait incorporating the subject’s character and the emotional moment, as well as support the participants as they take advantage of the remarkable natural light and colorful surroundings Cuba has to offer.

Both workshops are open to photographers of all skill levels who are interested in creating more powerful images using a variety of dynamic photography tools and opening themselves up to a new way of seeing. Spanish language skills are not required.

Registration will continue until all spaces are filled, but we only have a couple spaces left in Cuban Vision, and Havana Highway. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity, sign up online or call us today!
