“Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
With your one wild and precious life?”
– The Summer Day final lines, Mary Oliver

For the past many months, I have been escaping into the Loma Alta open space above my house on near-daily climbs, camera in hand. I have been lost in its fog, sweaty in its sunlight, wet from its rain, and dusty from its dryness. I have befriended oak trees, hawks, and king snakes. Just this morning I watched Perry the kite silently flap towards the ridge. Nature is the truest, most restorative reality that I know, and this place has helped me stay focused on what matters.

My time in this ever-changing open space has been filled with many unforgettable and deeply moving moments of light and beauty. It is my hope and the purpose of my photography that this will shine through the four walls of these frames.
