Rory Earnshaw: Spectrums of Solitude

March 9 – May 26, 2017

Artist Reception: Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 7–9PM

The Image Flow proudly presents Spectrums of Solitude, a solo exhibition featuring the work of Bay Area-based photographer Rory Earnshaw. Spectrums of Solitude spans over four decades and includes 44 diligently processed, hand-made darkroom prints.
Rory’s small-scale, intimate prints in this exhibition explore the quiet, minimalist beauty of an empty urban landscape. Shooting only with film and often with a large-format camera, he takes advantage of the slow and deliberate process of classic silver gelatin darkroom printing and toning.

When I’m out shooting personal work it’s got to be film. I love the mechanics of a manual camera, the levers, release buttons and shutter sounds. I like the mystery of not knowing how a night shot may turn out. – Rory Earnshaw

Come celebrate Rory Earnshaw’s classic work with us on Saturday, March 18 from 7–9PM.
Event catered by R.S.V.P. Catering.
